Maybe Graded

Posted: November 27, 2012 in Blog

I have a bunch of PSA graded Cal Ripken Jr. cards and I really like them. I don’t have to worry about them because my sons should not be able to destroy the cards.

Recently I saw a graded copy of a card I own sell for over $575 on eBay on 21 Nov 2012 for a 1996 Ray Lewis Atomic Refractor – PSA graded 9. This got me thinking maybe I should get mine graded to protect it and increase the value. I know around here card grading is not super popular, but I think it serves a purpose. I really like the protection side of the graded cards.

I was trying to figure out which grading company to go with. Yet after a bit of research the choice was fairly easy. I believe I will try going with Beckett Grading. I like the fact that you don’t have to be part of a club and I can submit just a couple of cards.

Have any of my readers dealt with grading card companies? PSA vs. Beckett?
