Catching up (Mail Call and Trade)

We are a little bit behind…

One of the things we like the most about collecting cards and blogging is receiving Orioles cards in the mail!

Wait til’ next year trade

So recently we completed a trade with Steve at Wait til’ next year (A huge Cubs fan) and we got some of the best Orioles cards. For starters we got a Mike Boddicker (Orioles Future Stars) card, very cool. A few fun facts: During his 13 year career, Boddicker pitched for 4 different teams (the Baltimore Orioles, Boston Red Sox, Kansas City Royals, and the Milwaukee Brewers). He was on the last Baltimore team to win the World Series, the 1983 Baltimore Orioles.Orioles Future Stars Mike Boddicker

The second major card is a 1970 American League RBI Leaders card (which features Oriole favorite Boog Powell). According to the card Boog Powell was in third with 114 RBIs. Anyone who has not been to Orioles Park at Camden Yards yet, I highly recommend trying out Boog’s BBQ.1970 RBI Leaders Boog Powell

And the highlight in the package was the 1969 Topps Brooks Robinson #550. The back of the card stated Brooks Robinson was an All-Star for the 7th time during the 1968 season and 1964 American League MVP. Without a doubt he is one of the GREATEST ORIOLES OF ALL TIME.1969 Topps Brooks Robinson

Mail Call

Since our time off from blogging, we also received a nice Brian Roberts Game Used card. It was a 2007 Upper Deck Series 1 (UD-BR) Brian Roberts.2007 Upper Deck Brian Roberts Game Used

On another note: What a great game of baseball today! USA beating Canada 6-5.
