As I have stated in the past, Beardy and I have completed a number of trades. He is a great trader so I am always on the look out for more stuff to send his way.

Our most recent trade formed due to this card…

card951This is one sweet card! I have been watching them on eBay since Goodwin came out and never got one. Beardy got one and then promptly traded it to me. Dude, Thank you so much!

Of course Beardy also sent a great set of Ripken, Markakis, and Murray cards as well!

card953For those of you following my Pursuit of Ripken cards, Beardy’s trade package has offically pushed my collection to over 550 different Ripken cards!

Recently I ran to the local card shop to see what I could find for a few other bloggers. And as always, the bargain bin sucked me in.

They had just busted a box of 2009 Sweet Spot, and I was able to get two of the base cards I wanted (Nick Markakis and Brian Roberts). I really like the design and feel of this product.

card938card932Then I saw a the Nick Markakis and Brian Roberts base from 2009 Tickets to Stardom.

card937card936Then a 2009 SP Authentic Nick Markakis caught my eye.

card933As well as a 2008 SP Authentic Brian Roberts.

card934On top of all the Baseball cards, I was able to find a few Joe Flacco, Ray Lewis and Ed Reed cards I liked.

While at the card shop last week, I picked up a pack to rip. I have been pretty good about not getting random packs, but I was feeling lucky and figured I would try my luck…

Here is the unopened pack.

card927Other than a super thick dummy card in the middle, the pack did not yield anything super. Oh well, it was worth a shot. All the cards are up for trade.

Who I collect…

When I started back with collecting, I had no idea what I was doing. I bought all sorts of packs, looking for the inserts and then just putting all the cards into a random box. I have recently started to narrow down what I collect.

I am going after all the HOF Orioles (Listed here in the order I collect: Cal Ripken Jr., Brooks Robinson, Eddie Murray (Orioles Uniform), Jim Palmer, Frank Robinson (Orioles Uniform), and Earl Weaver).

As for current Orioles players, I am focusing on Nick Markakis (Sorry Beardy) and Brian Roberts (Sorry Troll). The reasoning behind these two is pretty simple in my mind: Markakis and Roberts are the two faces of the Orioles Organization. And both do a lot to help out the Baltimore community. Nick Markakis has the Right Side Foundation and Brian Roberts does a number of things including Brian’s Baseball Bash.

On to football….

I am going after the BALTIMORE Colts HOF listed in this order: Johnny Unitas, Raymond Berry, John Mackey, Gino Marchetti, Lenny Moore and Art Donovan.

And current Raven players I am going after are Ray Lewis and Ed Reed. They are two of the best defenders in the NFL. And of course, Joe Flacco.

I will be trying to keep the Zistle accounts up to date.

All Ripken cards will be listed here.

And the rest of my Personal Collection here.

I have had the pleasure of trading with Joe from The Priceless Pursuit a number of times. He is a big Yankees fan, I am a big Orioles fan. I send him unwanted Yankee cards and in return he sends great Orioles cards.  My old Yankee cards have found a nice home. I look forward to future trades with Joe.

In the package he sent, I found 12 Ripken cards! Some of these were not even in the Zistle library.

Up first are the three cards I added to Zistle:

Here are the rest of the new Ripken cards he sent.

And not only did he send those great Ripken cards, he also sent over a bunch of current O’s.

Many thanks Joe! As soon as the Yankee pile fills up again, I will send a few more your way!
