Topps inception group break

Posted: September 7, 2011 in Blog

The card that were on the pre-sell info for 2011 Inception set look awesome. I was even thinking about picking up a box, that was until I saw the price and you only get 7 cards in a box. That seems a bit crazy! But I did find a group break of this product and it only cost me $5.50 including shipping for the Ravens. Not a bad deal.

I wasn’t sure why I joined this break at first due to the small number of cards. But overall, I feel like I made out pretty well.

A Torrey Smith auto numbered out of /25!

What do you guys think? And does anyone know much about him?

After getting this card in a one box break, I figured I would try one more. And found a cheap case break. All I got was this one card.

Needless to say, I think I am done with group breaks…

Group break results

I don’t always have the best of luck with group breaks, but I figured it was time to try my luck. I will let you judge how I did in the two breaks, I am overall very pleased. No huge MOJO hits, but nice additions to my player collection. What do you guys think about the Lineage set? I am really thinking about trying a box, in a bit (once the price goes down).

The cards look pretty sweet. Also picked up a Red Sox slot in one of the breaks, all those cards are up for trade. Let me know.

Manufactured Markakis

I don’t add many current Orioles’ to my collection.

Was not really sure about the manufactured nameplates, but I think it looks pretty nice now that I have it in front of me. Hopefully, I will be able to add the black nameplate at some point.

First Pierce auto

Ever since I started collecting Celtics’ cards, I have wanted to add a nice Paul Pierce autograph. And now finally, I got one!

This beautiful card came from COMC. Overall, felt like I got a great deal!
Not only does the card contain his auto, it also has a relic piece!

This should be the end of this series. I hope you all enjoyed the cards I got.

Still not sure if I will redeem the code cards. But I guess it was just luck getting a third one in this box. The 60 year card actually looks okay. I have been seeing them online and other blogs and was unsure how I felt about them.

Just like yesterday’s post, here are the next two packs. All are for Trade!

Not too shabby, I got another diamond card!

I really don’t like the history of Topps cards! I could have done with out this insert.

Now we are getting into the fun packs that are loaded with inserts, the 2011 Series One. Same as the Heritage packs, everything for trade. Please let me know what you think of the first two packs.

The diamond card looks so much cooler in person. The scan does not the card any justice. And the Topps Town cards look alot better then last years.

The Ruth insert took me by surprise and is pretty cool! And the Kimball minis are sweet. I haven’t gotten any of them for my player collections yet, but most likely will in the near future.
